FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

Artisan Chauffeur & Concierge provides premium ground transportation coordination through one dedicated concierge desk. Instead of sourcing chauffeur companies city by city or managing separate operators in every market, we arrange rides through rigorously vetted local operators across the North American commercial footprint, giving you local expertise with concierge-level coordination.

It depends on the trip. The site shows a direct all-in total only when direct booking is enabled and every server-side eligibility check passes: the trip satisfies the active U.S. booking policy; the itinerary is not private aviation; the service type and vehicle class are directly bookable; the pickup and any return details are valid; the pickup meets the lane-specific lead time — at least 12 hours for the instant lane or 24 hours for approve-first — and falls inside the supported booking horizon; and the itinerary has rate-card coverage, including route availability and the applicable distance cap. Instant-lane payment confirms the booking immediately. Approve-first checkout saves a card without charging it, and the exact reviewed total is charged only if the reservation is approved. Everything else — including larger vehicles, trips inside the applicable lead-time window, far-future trips, private aviation, invalid or unpriceable routes, and very long itineraries — continues as a quote request: a concierge reviews the itinerary, sends a written quote and invoice, and the booking is confirmed once payment is received. Either way, chauffeur details and pickup instructions arrive before your trip.

We serve the North American commercial footprint: New York, Los Angeles / Orange County, Boston, Chicago, South Florida, Atlanta, Seattle, Denver, Washington DC / NoVA / Montgomery County, San Francisco Bay Area, Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston, Orlando / Tampa, Toronto / GTA, Vancouver / Lower Mainland, Montreal, Calgary, and Ottawa-Gatineau.

Operators in the network are reviewed for proper licensing, operating authority, jurisdiction-specific insurance documentation, chauffeur requirements, vehicle condition, and professional service standards. Performance is evaluated through trip feedback and periodic review.

Operators in our network provide a range of vehicles including luxury sedans (Mercedes S-Class, BMW 7 Series), SUVs (Cadillac Escalade, Lincoln Navigator), Mercedes-Benz Sprinter vans (up to 14 passengers), and specialty vehicles depending on the market.

We recommend requesting service at least 24 hours in advance for the best availability. However, our concierge team can often accommodate same-day and last-minute requests depending on the market.

Trips bookable directly on this site show a single all-in total before payment. For everything else, quotes are provided on a per-trip or hourly basis with the vehicle class, base fare, wait policy, included items, and pass-through variables disclosed before confirmation. Pricing varies by market, vehicle type, distance, timing, airport or regulator fees, and day-of changes.

Yes. We work with corporate travel departments to establish managed ground transportation programs with preferred pricing, consolidated invoicing, approved vehicle classes, and detailed trip reporting.

For airport transfers, flights are monitored in real time and pickup times are adjusted accordingly. The assigned chauffeur will be there when you land, not when you were originally scheduled to arrive. Complimentary wait time is included — typically 60 minutes for domestic arrivals and up to 90 minutes for international arrivals requiring customs, measured from actual wheels-down. Our published Wait Time and Flight Tracking & Delay policies cover the full details.

Yes. For trips booked directly on this site, use the manage-booking link in your confirmation email; quoted trips are handled through the concierge team. Our published Cancellation & Change Policy is the baseline either way: a full refund on standard bookings cancelled 48 or more hours before pickup, with graduated fees closer to pickup. The written quote or confirmation may set different terms for a specific booking, such as large or event itineraries billed on a deposit schedule.
